CHM To Exe is a wonderful product of G.D.G. Software. The program is very useful for building e-books. It converts Help files with the extension of CHM into Windows executable format EXE which doesn't need any run-time libraries. You will be able to build fully functional and customizable Windows applications by adding custom toolbars, splash screens and menus.

The generated e-books can be optionally protected against being copied and edited. Selling your e-books has never been safer thanks to the authentication functionality. You will not need any programming experiences in order to add advanced functions to your e-books, such as launching external programs, accessing the system's registry and more.

The program provides the ability to preview the CHM Help file before compiling it in a nice HTML resource browser, but unfortunately, it doesn't provide the ability to edit the HTML source code or even replace the resource files. You can save the project settings in a .HEP file, so you can easily compile it later into an EXE file.

One of the disadvantages of this program is that it requires the installation of 'HTML Executable' which is a demo program that requires payment.
